An up and down performance in the double header against St. Charles Community College led to a split with East Central College losing the first game 4-0 and rallying in the second game with a come from behind 6-3 win. The Falcons had a difficult time getting the bat on the ball in their first game, but found their bats in the second game.
In game number two of the day the Falcons were much more productive in the scoring department. Megan Micke led off the scoring by driving Jensen Crenshaw home in the first inning. The Falcons then found themselves trailing 2-1 after three innings. The ECC hitters woke up and started knocking the St. Charles pitcher around the park in the fifth inning. Micke came back with another RBI to tie the game at 2-2. Seeley Friend then hit a 2 RBI double to lift ECC to a 4-2 lead. St. Charles answered back in the sixth inning with one run of their own. The sophomore duo of Crenshaw and Micke stepped up in the bottom of the sixth inning and added insurance runs by both hitting RBI doubles to lift ECC to the 6-3 victory.
