East Central College Women’s Soccer (5-5) reached the .500 plateau with a 3-1 victory over the Jefferson College Lady Vikings. A stellar performance from the women’s team had ECC in command of the match from the beginning to the end minus a first minute. A mishap with confusion in the backfield led to a goal as Jefferson scored first to make the match 1-0. The Falcons came roaring back with their best performance of the season.

Autumn Morgan scored the first goal on an assist from Brooke Paterson to tie the game at 1-1 before halftime. ECC came back with the eventual game winner by Mari McSherry assisted by Emma Cloud. The Falcons put the match out of reach when Isabella Tiepelmann netted the third goal of the contest for the Falcons on a pass from McSherry. ECC outshot the Vikings 12-7 in the match and had the best of the play for the majority of 90 minutes.

The MCCAC conference win puts the Falcons in uncharted territory with 5 victories now on the season.  A school record for wins in a season for the young Falcons keeps increasing with each and every victory.
