East Central College Men’s Soccer (6-4-1) sunk the Jefferson College Vikings’ ship with a 2-0 MCCAC Conference win on Saturday, Sept. 23. The Falcons blanked their archrival and recorded a big victory for their second win over Jeffco in the last three games. A strong performance defensively had Jay Elliot notching the shutout victory adding to his total of 4 shutouts on the season. Great defensive play by the back line held out Jefferson most of the match. Jules Denomme, Damian Kunc, Matt Harp, and Michael Holliday kept Jefferson out of the backfield.

The Falcons were able to get an incredible volley goal by Holliday off a left footed Denommee cross in the second half to go up 1-0. Dujon Brown sealed the game in the 89th minute with an assist from Martin Farkas. The game was chippy with play being carded each way with ejections and cautions throughout the match.

ECC will face MCCAC and Region 16 opponent State Fair Community College at home for their next match.
