ECC Volleyball (13-7) took down the St. Louis Community College Archers in a four set MCCAC Conference match 25-19, 22-25, 25-17, 25-16 to elevate their win total. Brenna Moore and Abby Cowell were pounding the ball off the St. Louis backcourt with consistency. Moore collected 9 kills and Cowell 8 kills in the match. Katie Myers and Jaidyn Collins came up big in the assist department with 14 and 12 respectively. A big turnaround in the game came after losing the second set when the Falcons decided to pour on the offense as they cruised to victory.
Defensively, Lexi Filkins led the Falcons with 23 digs at the libero position. And Myers and Collins were also mopping up the floor with their defensive play as well as both recorded 13 digs.
This was a step in the right direction after a tough match with Southeastern Iowa over the past weekend, now ECC is hungry for more wins.
