A tough end to the season had the women’s soccer Falcons fighting hard in every match. ECC faced a tough end to the regular season with matches starting in mid-October against three top teams in the region with winning records holding every team to one goal until the waining minutes of every match. The Falcons finished the season 3-12 with losses in the end 1-0 to St. Louis, 1-0 State Fair, 2-0 Mineral Area.

The NJCAA Region 16 Quarterfinal match against St. Charles Community College saw the Falcons in the best form of the season in front of the excellent play by Gabrielle Mattli in goal. Mattli faced more shots and made more saves than any other goalkeeper in the region and was a big reason why the Falcons were able to manage to stay close in every match. The Falcons hit the cross bar with one of their scoring chances against the Cougars, but eventually fell 2-0.
