The ECC Baseball Falcons (26-13) were able to put the cherry on top of the sundae or knock the red warning light off the top of the Arch, which ever you prefer, with a double header sweep of St. Louis Community College Archers by scores of 9-6 and 7-5.

The Falcons were on fire in the first game paced by a red hot Jackson Kirn going 3 for 4 with 2 RBIs. Matis Crouwel opened the scoring as he doubled in the first inning and was driven home. Crouwel collected two hits and 3 RBIs in the game.

ECC scored 6 runs in the first two innings leading 6-0. The Archers answered back in the top of the third scoring 3 runs and reeling the Falcons closer to eventually tie the game at 6-6. Jose Alfonso and Corey Chostner had doubles in the first game as well.

ECC slammed the door shut in the bottom of the sixth inning scoring 3 runs to elevate the score to 9-6.

Drew Davis went four innings allowing three runs and striking out one batter. Brock Hendrix, Anthony Broeker, and Starling Beverding came in relief to close the door on the Archers.

The second game had ECC leading 5-0 after five innings. A big sixth inning allowed St. Louis CC back into the game as they tied the score 5-5. Then the Falcons went to work scoring two runs in the bottom of the sixth to make the game 7-5 and seal the deal. Jackson Kirn and Adam Hanan both had doubles in the game and an RBI each.

On the mound, Joey Reichmuth went the distance for the Falcons to record the complete game win striking out two batters in the process of facing 30 batters.
