The inaugural game for the East Central College women’s soccer team is in the books and the Falcons showed very well in this strange season. ECC had a few opportunities in the match, but fell to Metropolitan Community College Kansas City by a score of 1-0. Hannah Olive (Union High School) was spectacular in the nets for the Falcons who faced 14 shots saving 13 of them. Coach Martin Clayes, was pleased with the team’s effort in their first official match. Hard work in a very long offseason had ECC looking good throughout the match and the team had chances, but just couldn’t find the back of the net. A quick turn around to the next match will have ECC facing St. Charles Community College this week in an NJCAA Region 16 and MCCAC match.
