The East Central College Falcons started the season with a convincing win over the Missouri Baptist University Reserves by a score of 6-0. Ross Watson led the Falcons with three goals and the game winner. Miguel Gonzalez had a goal and two assists for the high-powered Falcon offense who led 5-0 at halftime.

On the defensive side of the ball, ECC was led in the nets by freshman goalkeeper Kaden Marsh, who recorded his first college victory and shutout. Jay Yule and Mitchell Foley rounded out the scoring with Foley scoring the lone second half goal for the Falcons.

Coach Joe Benninger earned his first victory as head coach of the men’s squad. A well-played game had ECC in control most of the match as they hope to maintain a high level of play in more tightly contested matches this season.
