East Central College Volleyball (9-2) split the first two matches in Burlington, IA by falling in 5 sets to John Wood and beating Spoon River 3-2. The Falcons had beaten John Wood earlier in the year, but couldn’t quite finish off the Trailblazers in the 5th set tiebreaker.
The Falcons were able to reverse their fortunes in the the second match by taking the bite of the Spoon River Snappers in 5 sets.
The Falcons will face tough opponents from Iowa in the second day of the Jimmy John’s Southeastern CC Tournament with top ranked NJCAA team #7 Kirkwood and Mashalltown.
