A well-played match from start to finish had the ECC Volleyball Falcons (17-7) in control as they beat the Lewis & Clark Trailblazers in straight sets 25-19, 25-20, 25-20. The win was the second of the season over the Trailblazers as ECC met up with Lewis & Clark during the opening weekend in the Falcon Classic. ECC’s performance offensively was highlighted by Abby Cowell offensively registering 11 kills in the match. Rayne Van Reed and Erin Brooks were able to get 7 and 6 kills respectively. As usual Jaidyn Collins and Peyton Yarbrough provided the helpers in the assists category as Collins had 18 and Yarbrough 14.
Lexi Filkins was the primary defensive person with 21 digs in the match. Bailee Lutrell added into this category as well with double digit digs of her own with 10.
ECC has the weekend off and awaits St. Louis Community College at home next Wednesday, October 11 for the ‘Jam the Gym’ night. The first 85 fans will get free T-Shirts.
