East Central College softball ended the season in the Region 16 Tournament with a tough 1-0 loss to Mineral Area College. Abby Ray pitched a stellar game going the distance to limit the Cardinals to one run. She struck out six, but the Falcons couldn’t find their bats to continue the season. The Falcon defense helped keep the opposition to one run, but the offense didn’t answer the call. The two ECC hits in the game came from Marissa Boyd with a double and Seeley Friend with a single.
A bright spot at the season’s end, seeing the Falcons finish 18-22, were some of the individual performances recognized by the Region 16 coaches.
The Falcons had three players named 1st Team All-Region:

Jensen Crenshaw: Sophomore, Catcher, Canton, MO
Marissa Boyd: Freshman, Centerfielder, Union, MO
