Another blustery, spring day had ECC Softball (16-9) flying high in the hit department as the Falcons swept the North Arkansas College Pioneers in a double header by scores of 9-0 and 8-3. The first game of the day started and finished well as Taylor Hanger pitched a five inning shutout. Morgan Green had a monster day at the plate starting with a leadoff triple in bottom of the first inning and eventually scoring the first run. Green’s next at bat had the bases juiced and she delivered with a grand slam over the right field fence lifting the Falcons to a 5-0 score. Hits kept coming from the Falcons as Aubree Eaton launched a three-run bomb over the fence to take the score to 8-0. An eventual wild pitched scored the final run taking the score to 9-0.

The second game had ECC down for an inning 1-0, but the Falcons took a two run lead as Aubree Eaton hit a two-run shot over the fence to make it 2-1. ECC was holding on to a 4-3 lead in the sixth inning when the flood gates opened and the Falcons took full advantage of the Pioneers making mistakes. ECC scored four more in the bottom of the sixth inning on hits from Mya Hillerman, Emma Weston, Aubree Eaton and Morgan Green.  Morgan Green got the win pitching 5 and 2/3 innings and Taylor Hanger got the save.
