The ECC Softball Falcons (2-4) were able to dial up a victory in a split double header as they won the first game 5-4 and fell in a close one 4-2 in the second game against the Lewis & Clark Trailblazers.

Offensively, the Falcons’ bats started to warm up in the first game. Mya Hillerman was smacking the ball around the park as she went 2 for 4 with a double and a triple with 2 RBI. Sierra Spencer and Alexa Smalling were also able to go 2 for 4 in the first game.

Taylor Hanger helped herself out from the circle as she registered the complete game win pitching and had a 2 RBI triple.

The second game of the day ended up without the desired result, but a few bright spots were noticed as Smalling went 3 for 3 and Hanger went 2 for 4 with two doubles.

A full week of home games next week has the Falcons’ roosting in their own nest against Southwestern Illinois, Central Methodist University JV and Missouri Baptist University JV.
