The East Central College Men’s Soccer Falcons (9-7-2) dropped their quarterfinal match up against the State Fair Community College Roadrunners 1-0 at home. State Fair,#6 seed, scored the lone goal on a wind aided floating shot in the 39th minute. ECC, #3 seed, held the advantage in time of possession and shots on goal, but couldn’t find the back of the net. A missed penalty kick early in the second half and shot off the post were the closest the Falcons could come to making a comeback.
As the season closes there were highlights throughout the season to build upon for next year. A large freshman class will be returning with experience to change their fortunes around in the future.
