The East Central College Falcons (12-2) were able to walk-off the Southwestern Illinois Blue Storm in the first game of a double header by a score of 14-13. It was a big day at the plate for the Falcons, Corey Chostner kept the Falcons alive in the top of the 7th inning by hitting a 2-run homer to tie the game up at 13-13. Matis Crouwel was able to then drive in the game winning run on a sacrifice fly into shallow right field. The flock of Falcons frenzied on to the field to congratulate their teammates after the dramatic win.

DeVon Jennings double twice and drove in 4 runs.  Chostner also drove in four runs on the day. Adam Hanan had a two-run shot early in the game to give the Falcons the lead, but it didn’t last long as ECC let a 9-3 lead evaporate and were down 11-9. After tying the game up at 11-11, it looked like the momentum would swing back in favor of the Falcons and it did.

Brock Hendrix go the win on the mound for the Falcons. Joey Reichmuth, Anthony Broeker, Drew Davis and Aiden Strickland all contributed to the defense taking turns on the mound for the Falcons.

The Falcons finished the second game clawing their way back from a 9-0 deficit to finally fall 10-7 after 7 innings.
