The East Central Falcons (19-19) broke their 14 game losing streak to split a double header with the Mineral Area College Cardinals. ECC took the first game 3-2, but blew a 6-0 lead in the second game to fall 9-7. It has been a rollercoaster season, where it has been hard for the Falcons to climb out of their extreme low. A collective team win had the Falcons recording three hits from Ashley Blanton, and two hits from each Jensen Crenshaw, Eden Henry, Monica Kelley and Ashley Miller. Miller put up good numbers to get the win for the Falcons.

The second frame had ECC looking good right from the beginning. Up 2-0 after multiple singles in the 2nd inning the Falcons looked to pounce on the Cardinals. In the fourth inning, Jamie Kluba launched a two run shot over the fence to give the Falcons a 6-0 lead. The wheels fell off as Mineral Area answered back with six runs of their own in the next two innings to tie the game at 6-6. Abby Ray gave the Falcons hope as she sent a solo shot out of the park to regain the lead 7-6 in the bottom of the 6th inning. A rough top of the 7th inning was too much for ECC to overcome as Mineral Area sent two homers out the park to win 9-7.
