The East Central College Falcons (34-19) head into the postseason with the #1 seed in the NJCAA Region 16 DII Baseball Tournament being held in Moberly, MO May 9-11. The Falcons take a 15-6 region record into the tournament, but by no means is this assurance of the work that still needs to be completed to win the tournament.

As a nucleus, the Falcons have healthy pitching coming into the tournament and will be ready to unload from the hitting side of the plate.

Reaching base is one goal for the team, the second is moving runners into scoring position. The team is no stranger to moving along base runners as they rank #1 in the country in stolen bases with 204. The Falcons also rank as one of the tops in NJCAA DII Baseball in doubles at #10 with 114, #11 in triples with 21, #12 in total hits with 533, and extra base hits at #18 with 173.

Coach JM Kelly has the recipe to success cooking in Union, MO and hopes to extend the season well into the postseason with the same type of play throughout the region tournament.
