It took ECC four sets, but the high flying Falcons (6-7) were able to fly over the STLCC Archers with a 25-10, 21-25, 25-21, 25-17 victory at home. The win marks the first regular season and conference win for a young Falcon squad trying to elevate their totals in the win column. A dominating first set had the Falcons using their system to perfection in finding holes in the opposition’s back court.

On the offensive side of the net, ECC had kills from a collective group: Makayla Case 11, Emma Coburn 6, Brenna Moore 5 and Emily McKinney 5. A couple of hiccups in the backcourt were resolved after dropping the second set. Trinity Clark captained the backcourt with 28 digs along with both Bella Allgeyer and Emily McKinney recording 12 digs each.

The Falcons hope to continue their winning streak as they head to Kansas this weekend for two tri-matches against Independence CC, Friends University JV, Allen County CC and John Brown University JV.
