The Falcons (5 -7 ) needed a victory to snap a losing streak and a straight set win over John Wood Community College by scores of 25-19, 25-20, 25-17 came at the right time. Offensively and defensively, Emily McKinney led the match with a stellar performance collecting 11 kills and 21 digs. The great two-way work by McKinney helped guide the Falcons to a much needed away victory in Quincy, IL.   Makayla Case registered 6 kills and Trinity Clark kept the ball off the back court with 26 digs.

A return to the home court for a match this week against St. Louis Community College will be a good test for the post season as the two teams square off in the battle of I-44 in this home and away series only separated by 32 miles. Then the Falcons will hit the road over the weekend with away matches in Kansas facing Independence Community College, Friends University JV, Allen County Community College and John Brown University JV. This trip will be a big step in the maturation process of a young flock of Falcons trying to find their wings for the season.
