The ECC Volleyball Falcons 19-7 were able to fly over the Archers with a slight slip in the first set, but cruised to a 3 set victory by scores of 25-23, 25-13, 25-17. ECC had to claw their way back from a 20-14 deficit to win the first set 25-23. After a brief lapse the Falcons turned up the heat. A nice way to finish out the match had the Falcons picking out their spots in back court with kills and the defense came up big with some scrappy play on the floor.
The region result over St. Louis places ECC in the #2 seed before this weekend’s last match against Metropolitan Community College Kansas City at home. The Falcons would need a sweep and point differential to secure the #1 seed. As ECC looks to the post season a victory over MCCKC will be a eventful way to close out the regular season at home.
