The Falcons (12-7) went 1-1 in a tri-match over the weekend knocking off Rend Lake 3 -1 with set scores of 25 21, 16-25, 25-23, 25-23. ECC went down swinging and fell to Southeastern Iowa in four sets. Good play on the day came from Brenna Moore with a number of kills in both matches. Erin Brooks had a great day at the net blocking, but it wasn’t enough to hold off the Blackhawks in the second match.
A big test this weekend has ECC primed to face Region 16 and MCCAC opponent St. Louis this coming Wednesday on the road. Good overall team play was step in the right direction. The Falcons are in need of a victory against the Archers in the region for seeding purposes in the post season.
