The Falcons (6-7) were able to take two from the Southwestern Iowa Community College Spartans by riding the storm out with 14-12 and 7-4 wins. The second game was a close game through the pitching of Parker Anderson and the SWICC pitcher. Anderson gave up three runs but struck out nine leaving the game tied 3-3 after five innings. Kannon Hibbs belted a two-run homer in the bottom of the 3rd inning to tie the game 2-2. Aidan Gaither was able to tie the game back up at 3-3 with a double down the left field line.
ECC fell behind 4-3 in the top of the 7th inning and was looking for some runs and found some hits and a game tying RBI by Sam Bruno. Then the swirling winds and a 3-run homer by Adam Hanan proved to be the walk-off winner.
Brock Hendrix got the win in the game as he came in relief in the top of the 7th inning. Kaner Young had a good outing as a middle reliever.
The first game was a hit parade that started with the first at bat as Cody Kantz smashed a solo homer in the bottom of the first inning. Jack Holubowski joined the list of hits with a solo home run in the bottom of the 3rd inning. ECC then gained the lead 6-4 in the bottom of the 4th inning to go up 6-4. The Spartans then tied the game at 6-6. The Falcons kept the hits coming with Holubowski, Toby Goodwin, Matis Crouwel and Jiter Montilla all collecting hits.
