The East Central College Falcons (10-2) were able to take the first game of a double header against the Frontier Bobcats 8-6 and the second 14-0.
The first game was a hard-fought battle all the way to the top of the 7th inning as Abrea Simmons and the Falcon defense held tight to preserve the win getting the final three outs. Simmons struck out 8 batters in the game.
Meredith Blakemore came up big at the plate for the Falcons going 3 for 4 with three RBIs in the affair. Blakemore had a double and two singles. Genevieve Beacom and Avery Little both went 3 for 4 as well. Beacom had two doubles and collected an RBI of her own.
Ryleigh Long collected two hits and an RBI. Anna Arman and Loren Thurmon both had one hit and one RBI in the first game.
Anna Arman crushed two doubles and a single driving in four runs in the second game of the double header to win 14-0. Beacom went 2 for 3 driving in three runs. Loren Thurmon and Avery Little both drove in two runs in the hit parade for the Falcons.
Addyson Steele earned the win for the Falcons give up only one hit and striking out three in the victory.
