The East Central Falcons (4-6) were able to seek revenge on Milwaukee Tech on the second day of a four game series by sweeping a double header over the Stormers by scores of 14-8 and 4-2. Highlights from both games came from various players making big plays. Austin McKim led ECC in the first game with a pair of two RBI singles. McKim’s first two run RBI single tied the game up in the bottom of the first inning at 3-3. Trailing 5-3 in the bottom of the second inning, ECC found life as Ethan Lindemann launched a ball over left center field for the first home run for East Central College on the new field making the score 5-4.
Tied up at 6-6 in the 3rd inning, ECC was able to capitalize on a dropped third strike and an error to take an 8-6 lead. After this mishap in the 3rd, the Falcons benefited from walks, pass balls and few hits to widen the margin. A second two RBI single from McKim made the score 11-7 and then the flood gates began to open. ECC tacked on more runs to make the score 14-7 and eventually go on to win 14-8 as Hudson Stark got the win from the mound going 5 1/3 innings.
The second game was tight right from the beginning. Luciano Terrilli led off in the 1st inning with a double and later scored to tie the game 1-1. Seth Shannon sent a blast over the right center fence to give ECC a 2-1 lead in the 3rd inning. August Panhorst pitched 2 1/3 innings and then Shane Kearbey came in and finished the game off striking out multiple batters in each frame working hard through 4 2/3 innings.
