Former East Central College NJCAA All-American, Darren Hamilton is enjoying his team, University of California-Irvine, and their surging success late in the season of his senior year. Recently, Hamilton was named the UC-Irvine Athlete of the Week and co-Big West Conference Player of the Week. The Anteaters are 11-4-2 and claimed sole possession of the Big West regular season conference title and will soon head into the Big West Conference Tournament.

Hamilton started two years for East Central College where he was named an NJCAA 3rd Team All-American his freshman year. He experienced an injury his sophomore year, which limited his playing time for the Falcons. While at East Central College, Hamilton played a big part of anchoring the defense for two seasons as ECC won 27 games in the span of his playing career.

He then transferred to Hartwick College, an NCAA DI school in Oneonta, New York. Hartwick dropped down to NCAA DIII and Hamilton decided to trade coasts transferring to UC-Irvine. Hamilton has hopes of going professional after his graduation.
