The East Central College Falcons improved to 35-19 on the season with a 9-0 win over the Hesston College Larks in game one of the Region 16 DII Baseball Tournament in Moberly, MO. Adam DeBoer led the charge for the Falcons throwing a “No Hitter” complete game shutout in the victory. The line up was productive from start to finish with runners getting on base with consistent hits. ECC was up 4-0 after the bottom of the first inning.

Jackson Kirn and Matis Crouwel had good days at the plate both getting RBI hits in the game. DeVon Jennings came up big in the fourth inning with a two run double to send the score to 6-0. A couple errors on the side of Hesston led to two more runs scoring in the inning making the score 8-0. A last insurance run making the score 9-0 and complete game finished off the Larks for good with the run rule after 7 innings.

East Central will move on in the winner’s bracket to face the winner of either North Central College or Moberly Area in the second game of the double elimination bracket at 12:30PM on Friday, May 10.
