The ECC Men’s Soccer Falcons (4-4) were able to take down the South Suburban Bulldogs in a well-played match by a score of 2-0. Coming up big from start to finish were the stalwarts on defense, Matt Harp, Damian Kunc, Juan Wagner, Jules Denommee and Jay Elliot in the net. All five starters played extremely well in preserving the shutout for the Falcons. The victory sets ECC in the right direction heading into the bulk of region and conference play the rest of the season.

Tyler Finder was torching defenders down the left flank all game and found the back of the net for the game winner in the 13th minute of the match. Denommee slotted an excellent ball down the touchline to free up Finder who found the back of the net. The second goal was a great run down the right flank by Dujon Brown. Brown’s shot rung the crossbar, went down at an angle behind the goal line and bounced out. It took a second for the linesman to rule on the goal, but it was apparent the ball crossed the line.

ECC will face at Metropolitan Community College Kansas City on Tuesday, September 19 at home for their next match at 4:00PM.
