The East Central College Falcons (16-21-1) took down the Moberly Area Community College Greyhounds in a double header by scores of 9-6 and 8-0 in the weekend series.

The first game had the Falcons flipping the script in the bottom of the first, scoring six runs on four hits to take the lead, 6-1. The biggest blow in the inning was a home run to right field by Cody Kantz that drove in two.

East Central College Falcons added one run in the third after Henry Kufa singled to center.

Matis Crouwel homered to left field, scoring two runs in the bottom of the sixth for the East Central College Falcons.

Zach Taylor earned the win for East Central College over six innings, striking out five and walking one. Donte Frantz collected the save.

Aidan Gaither, showed up at the plate to bolster the Falcons’s lineup, by leading the team with two hits in three at bats. Crouwel, Jeff Lentz, and Kantz each drove in two runs for East Central College Falcons. Toby Goodwin paced ECC with three walks.  The Falcons turned three double plays in the contest.

The second game of the double header had the Falcons top the Greyhounds  8-0.

ECC quickly took the lead after Matis Crouwel tripled, scoring two runs, and Gabriel Contreras singled, scoring one run.

Kannon Hibbs earned the win for the Falcons. The starter allowed three hits and zero runs over four innings. Jack Meyer collected the save.

ECC collected nine hits in the game. Cody Kantz went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead the Falcons in hits. Crouwel and Kantz each drove in two runs.
