A rescheduled match with DII Region 16 Tournament seeding implications had the Falcons (7-5) facing the Metropolitan Community College Kansas City Wolves in a repeat from this past Saturday in Kansas City where MCCKC won. ECC came out strong and kept clawing their way back to outlast the Wolves in the tightest contest of the season. After falling in the first set, ECC made a statement in the second set winning 25-16. A battle at the net and in the backcourt continued throughout the five-set match to produce a score line of 20-25, 25-16, 20-25, 25-23, 15-13 in favor of the Falcons.

Allison Tonioli brought her hard hitting to the match leading ECC with 20 kills where every point was contested with a full team effort. Leinata Leakehe had a good offensive match registering 17 kills and pounding the ball off sprawling opponents.  Other big offensive contributions also came from Grace Struttmann and Alyce Koch.

Maranntha Hollimann had her busiest match of the year contributing 48 assists and 22 digs. She worked super hard to keep the Falcons in the match despite numerous lead changes throughout the sets. Trinity Clark and Macey Morehead also had a hand in the defensive side contributing 21 and 15 digs respectively.

ECC has only one more match for region tournament seeding purposes left in the regular season. The Falcons will face St. Louis Community College on the road at the end of this week hoping to lock down the #1 seed.
