Finally roosting at home for a match, the Falcons (11-8) were able to get another “W” in the win column as they cruised past Rend Lake College in straight sets by scores of 25-18, 25-12, 25-16. As the Falcons reach the last weeks of regular season schedule, ECC is looking to make some noise on the court.
ECC was led on the offensive side by a number of players in the match. Allison Tonoili had 9 kills, Mariah Vahlkamp 8 kills while both Macey Morehead and Samantha Staab collected 6 kills. The attack was balanced and kept the Warriors on their heels the entire match.
The usual leaders in the assists and digs categories were the Roper twins, Nicole had 16 assists and Kaley had 29 digs. Kilisitina Lutui added 13 assists in the winning effort for the Falcons. ECC will take on Missouri Baptist JV next, hoping to avenge an early loss in the season.
