The ECC Volleyball Falcons (7-8) were able to take down the St. Louis Community College Archers in straight sets by scores of 25-22, 25-11, 25-8. The Falcons had a solid defense game, but were on the attack most of the night led by the hard hitting from the Oklahoma dynamic duo of Abby Cowell and Peyton Yarbrough. Cowell had 10 kills and Yarbrough had 8 kills blistering the Archers defense with no answer. Erin Brooks had a great match against St. Louis at the net both offensively and blocking at the net.
Leading the way with the helpers was Jaidyn Collins registering 21 assists in the match. Collins’ serves also kept the Archers defense off balance as she recorded a few aces. Taylor Jones 9 digs led the team on the defense end.
Next up for the Falcons is NJCAA Region 16 rival Metropolitan Community College Kansas City on away trip.
