The ECC Baseball Falcons (10-16) faced North Arkansas for the final time of the season and ended up pretty much where they started going 4-4 as they split another double header by scores of 5-4 and 13-6. The first game found the Falcons trailing early as Levi Betts found his form later in the game and almost went the distance in the start. Betts got the victory and was charged with four runs in the early innings and struck out three in the game. Will DesHotels came in the top of the seventh inning to record the save. Trey Orman and Tyson Dent both registered multiple hits with Orman hitting a single and triple and Dent a single and double. As the game entered the fifth inning and the game was tied at 4-4, Mario Columbo delivered a clutch hit driving in the game winning run.
The second game came with a rocky start for the Falcons as the defense let up two runs in both the first and second innings. ECC didn’t have much opportunity to claw back into the game. Mario Columbo and Patrick Dale had two hits in the affair, leading the Falcons. In the bottom of the seventh inning with the score 13-3, ECC mounted a small comeback highlighted by a solo home run by Jarrett Hamlett making the score 13-4.
