A double header between East Central and North Central had the two teams poised to take the region rivalry to another level and the Falcons did just that winning 11-5 and 5-3. The Falcons (31-15) raised their record in region play to be positioned as the current leader in the regular season.

The first game was under control with the start on the mound by Cole Evans despite a rocky first inning giving up three runs. ECC started the comeback quickly turning their fortunes by scoring four runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning. Then the Falcons kept scoring led by three RBIs each from DeVon Jennings and Nick Hooper. Hayden Cook had three hits and an RBI in the first game.  Matis Crouwel collected 2 RBIs on two hits.

Ayden Gates closed the door for the Falcons in relief during the first game.

The second game was not going the Falcons way, but the nine inning marathon was far from over after the Falcons fell behind 3-0. ECC clawed their way back with a run in the bottom of the fifth. But it was the magic in the bottom of the 8th inning where the comeback was completed. Hits came from Josh McClintock and he added two stolen bases. Crouwel and Jennings both had hits to reach base.

Jose Alfonso stole the treasure from the Pirates as he launched a two run homer to give East Central College the 5-3 win.

Adam DeBoer opened the game for the Falcons and Drew Davis got the win. DeBoer pitched 5 2/3 innings and Davis went 3 1/3 innings.
