The East Central College Volleyball Falcons (11-5) were able to knock off St. Louis Community College in straight sets 25-10, 25-13 , 25-18 at home during sophomore night. The Falcons were able start and finish strong in the match as they took a commanding lead in each of the first two sets. The third set was close for a brief moment tied at 7-7 and then the Falcons put their game into overdrive to cruise to the finish. On the defensive side, Kayla Borcherding was able to lead the team in digs. The attack was lead through a consistent passing game with Mackenzy Vedder setting up numerous kills by Skylar Evans, Liz Mattli and Cameron Hackman. Ginny Ward returned to the line-up after a two week hiatus from an injury. Also, figuring into the offensive mix were Grace Goedde, Kristina Aleksic, Nina Aleksic, Abigail Ruck and Grace Goedde. It was an overall team effort which had Coach Mathes-Peters using almost all of her squad.
