East Central College would like to welcome Chris Lanemann as the new head women’s soccer coach. Coach Lanemann comes to East Central College after 25 years of teaching at Washington High School in social studies and serving as a soccer coach for the past 25 years in the boy’s and girl’s programs.

He also has club soccer coaching experience with different St. Louis Metro area teams: Panathinaikos Soccer Club, Squadra FC, Real STL Soccer Club, Lou Fusz Soccer Club and JB Marine Soccer Club. His current JB Marine squad is the #1 ranked team in the state of MO and 2-year finalists in the Missouri State Cup. The team has also qualified for USYS Soccer Regionals and Nationals.

Coach Lanemann grew up in St. Louis playing for various clubs: Pepsi, Voyagers, Spirits SC and Skateland. He played junior college soccer for 2 years for St. Louis Community College- Forest Park Community College under Tony Kuester and United States Soccer, Missouri, St. Louis Soccer and NJCAA Hall of Fame Coach Pat McBride. He graduated with his undergraduate degree from Southeast Missouri State and a master’s from William Woods University.
Coach Lanemann is married to his wife, Amy, and they have two daughters, Mia 21, and Avery 19.
When not coaching, Coach Lanemann loves to run including ½ marathons, hiking and trail running, and working out at the gym as well.
