Falcons Take Flight on Brand New Turf Infield
The East Central College baseball program is starting a new chapter with an upgraded home field built for the future.
ECC unveiled the improved Taco Bell Field facility this fall, highlighted by a brand-new all-turf infield designed to enhance playability, durability, and year-round training opportunities for the Falcons.
A suspected tornado damaged the field last spring, and an insurance claim covered the full cost of the new infield turf.
The fresh, modern surface provides a faster and more consistent game, allowing ECC to stay on the field in conditions that would previously delay or cancel competition. The field also features updated backstop fencing, improved dugout areas, and expanded bullpens and batting cages that create a more efficient player development environment.
“This is a huge step forward for our program,” Head Coach Luke Miller said. “The new turf infield gives our players a true competitive edge and showcases the commitment ECC has to growing baseball on this campus.”
The Falcons will officially break in their upgraded home during the 2026 spring season, and the team is eager to make memories on their new diamond.
