The Falcons (3-3) were able to use an excellent outing by Zach Taylor to take down the Kishwaukee Kougars 8-1 in Alton, IL.  Taylor earned the win for the Falcons allowing only three hits and one run. He struck out eight batters in the complete game.

The bottom of the lineup helped East Central with Aidan Gaither, Hayden Cook and Joshren Magnaye combining for four of the team’s eight hits. The trio scored three runs and drove in four.

ECC scored the first tun after a Jack Holubowski sacrifice fly. Kishwaukee tied the game with a run of their own in the top of the second inning.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, Gaither tripled scoring two runs, then Magnaye added another RBI single.

The Falcons scored two more runs in the fifth inning on a two run homer by Holubowski, who had three total RBI in the game. Cody Kantz also added two hits on the day.

Next up for the Falcons will be Southwestern Illinois College in a double header in Belleville, IL on Tuesday, March 4.
