A hot evening in late September kept the Falcons on fire from a goal scoring perspective as they scored 6 goals for the second straight game. This time the Falcons knocked of the Southwestern Illinois Blue Storm by a score of 6-0 with a trio Falcons finding the net twice. The scoring opened in the first minute as Joao Louzada Pimenta dribbled down the left flank and beat two defenders to get the eventual game winner in the first minute of the match. Pimenta worked his magic on the ball again with a goal dribbling past another defender at the top the box and finding the corner of the net from the 18-yard mark. Joe McInnes, who couldn’t find the net in the previous match put in his 5th goal of the season with a break away tuck in to make the score 3-0. Right before halftime, Mitchell Foley hit a dagger of a shot into the upper corner on a direct free kick to make the score 4-0 before half.
The Falcons’ net was secured in the first half and part of the second half by Bailey Hoehe in combined shutout with Pierocarlo Previte. Hoehne made 4 saves in the first half of the match. The Falcons kept the Blue Storm out of the net with good back line play by Julio Gonzalez, James Baxter, Jacob Sauvage and Nelson Pena. As the match drew later and the sun dropping, Joe McInnes and Mitchell Foley both found the net to round out the double goals for the trio of Falcons.
