The Falcons(17-10) were taken the distance by the Wentworth Military Academy Red Dragons in an away match in Lexington, MO. The match went five sets with ECC squeaking out a winner in the fifth and deciding set by scores of 25-16, 25-22, 22-25, 22-25 and 15-12. The momentum swing in the match had the Falcons looking to cruise home quickly after winning the first two sets. The Red Dragons had a different opinion and took the next two sets with extremely close scores. A Falcon victory was sealed on the last few points of the deciding set. Mackenie Struckhoff and Liz Mattli led the Falcons with 12 and 10 kills respectively. Kayla Borcherding had 29 digs and Grace Goedde followed with 24 digs of her own. The victory places East Central at least in the #2 seed for the upcoming NJCAA Region 16 Tournament.
