The 10-4-1 Falcons, had their backs against the wall with an early 1-0 deficit against the St. Charles Community College Cougars, but the tide of the game changed and ECC prevailed 2-1. Like all playoff games in Region 16, it was a heated match that had chances for both teams, but ECC could quite answer until the 37th minute when Umoh Ufot knotted the game at 1-1 with his first goal of the game on assist by Archibald Darko-Boateng. The scored was tied 1-1 at half. In the 60th minute the Falcons found the answer after a number of close chances and shots hitting the post. Jacob Moore delivered a great ball to Umoh Ufot to finish up the scoring for East Central and make 2-1. The Falcons will move on to play St. Louis Community College on Tuesday, October 25 at 2:00p.m. for the NJCAA Region 16 semifinal.
