The baseball program at East Central College is beginning to find its rhythm after an up-and-down start to the 2026 season. The Falcons sit at 8-9 overall, but momentum is building following a weekend sweep of Kishwaukee College and a split against Lewis and Clark Community College.

East Central took care of business against Kishwaukee, earning back-to-back victories behind timely hitting and steady pitching performances. The sweep showcased the offensive firepower that has begun to define the Falcons’ lineup.

Leading the charge at the plate is Jeter, who is off to a scorching start. He’s batting .415 with five home runs and 17 RBIs, providing both consistency and power in the middle of the order. His ability to deliver in key moments has helped swing momentum in several early-season contests.

On the mound, Taylor has emerged as the staff leader. He owns two wins on the year and has recorded 24 strikeouts, setting the tone with command and competitiveness each time he takes the ball.

While the 8-9 record reflects early growing pains, the recent weekend signals a team beginning to click in all phases. With offensive production heating up and pitching performances stabilizing, the Falcons appear poised to build on their recent success as the season progresses.
