ECC Falcon Baseball (20-22-1) was able to take 2 out 3 games in the weekend series over the Hesston College Larks. The Falcons dropped the first game 7-6 on a top of seventh inning solo home run to break the tie. After the final of the first game, the Falcons came back with vengeance, winning the next two games 10-0 and 11-5. The weekend games were played at St. Clair High School due to the amount of rain over the weekend.
The second game of the series started by Parker Anderson had ECC in control from start to finish. Anderson pitched six innings for a complete game and struck out five batters. Big hits in the game came from Henry Kufa, Toby Goodwin, Jack Holubowski launching home runs. Goodwin had a great day at the plate leading the Falcons to victory. The winning run occurred in the bottom of the sixth inning when Kanon Hibbs was hit by a pitch to walk in the game ending run at 10-0.
The third game of the weekend was paced by Kanon Hibbs taking the ball deep to left field twice. Jack Holubowski also sent a solo shot over the left field fence for his program tying 10th home run of the season.Matis Crouwel, Henry Kufa, Toby Goodwin and Aidan Gaither had multiple hits in the game.
Andrew Sharpe started the nine-inning contest throwing well but only lasted three innings. Jack Meyer finished the game and got the win as he stuck out five batters and only allowed one run over six innings.
