The East Central College Falcons (23-22-1) trailed by as many as six runs at 9-3, but made a miraculous comeback against the Hesston College Larks with an 11-9 victory.

The Falcons collected 15 hits in the high-scoring game. ECC got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Kannon Hibbs singled down the right field line, Toby Goodwin singled down the left field line, and Jeff Lentz walked, each scoring one run. But then the Falcons gave up 5 runs in the top of the 4th inning.

The Falcons tied the game in the bottom of the seventh thanks to a single by Aidan Gaither, and a home run to right field by Cody Kantz.

In the bottom of the eighth inning, Hibbs homered to left field, and Lentz hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.

Jack Meyer earned the win for East Central College Falcons. The reliever surrendered eight hits and five runs over six and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking one. Ayden Gates collected the save coming in the bottom of the ninth striking out one batter and getting plays from his defense.

The Falcons tallied multiple hits from Gaither, Hibbs, Jack Holubowski, Henry Kufa, Kantz, and Samuele Bruno.. Gaither and Kantz each drove in three runs for the Falcons.

East Central College will play North Central Missouri College in the next game of the NJCAA Region 16 Tournament on Saturday, May 9 at 12:30PM in Trenton, MO.
