“I’m very excited,” Mary said about signing with the Falcons. “The coaches, Ben and Brad, have done such a good job with the team. They’ve coached me at a number of camps and I’ve really gotten to like them. That’s definitely why I’m going there.”Engemann is looking forward to learning from All-American Kasey Kirchhofer at the setter position.“As long as I work hard, I’m OK," Engemann said. "I’m going there to get better. It’s not all about playing time. As long as I’m being coached by Brad and Ben, I’m going to get better. It’s going to be great. I’m sure I can learn a lot from Kasey. She’s an All-American setter.”
Engemann was a Missouri High School Volleyball Coaches Association All-Central/South Central Region second team selection as a senior. She also made the Class 3 District 8 first team and The Missourian All-Area first team.
Engemann hopes to major in nursing or radiology.
“When I visited the nursing program looked really awesome,” Mary said. “The new building is great. I was really looking forward to seeing that.”
