East Central took an early, one game lead and didn’t falter as they were able to top Mineral Area College 25-17, 25-23, 22-25, 26-16. A quick start in the first game had the Falcons in the command of the match from the beginning to end. Freshmen standout play from Kara Bowman, Natalie Davis, Kasey Kirchhofer, A.J. Joyce and Samantha Walch helped pace the Falcons to victory. A couple of key offensive kills were provided by sophomores Stephanie Heim and Julie Ohlms their last home match. The match was a strong indicator of the season to come this fall as a new freshman class joins the squad for 2010.
