Tabetha KormanThe Falcons (21-25)came back to beat Cottey 8-7 in a tightly contested Region 16 Tournament game to keep their season alive. After dropping the first game against Forest Park, the Falcons found themselves facing another deficit and desperately needed a comeback. Tabatha Korman started the rally with a solo home run and ended the game with a two run single to send ECC to the next round of the tournament. Dacey Hassey hit a three run homer to lift the Falcons to a 6-4 lead in the fifth inning, but the Comets made a comeback of their own to go ahead 7-6. Tabatha delivered the game winning RBI's for the Falcons in the top of the seventh inning. Sam Juergens pitched well and earned her third victory in two days. East Central will face the winner of Florissant Valley and Forest Park at 2:00p.m. on Friday, April 24.
