Tabetha Korman Hits Home RunThe Falcons, now (16-23) on the season, are looking to make a run into the Region XVI tournament starting next week at East Central College. In front of a record crowd of over 100 people, ECC won game two of a double header yesterday against Mineral Area College, who is ranked at the top of Region 16 DII. The first game ended in an 8-0 loss, but the Falcons reversed their fortune and returned the favor with a 10-2 win in the second game. East Central was paced offensively by Tabetha Korman, who went 2 for 3 and hit her first college home run. Dacey Hassey and Amy Baumhoer collected two hits a piece with one being Amy’s three run homer to put the game out of reach for the Cardinals. Samantha Juergens picked up her 8th win of the season from the mound for ECC. The Falcons take on the Fury of Florissant Valley next for the MCCAC Conference Finale and the last game for seeding implications in Region XVI.
