The two-time NJCAA All-American helped lead the East Central College Falcons to a Midwest Community College Athletic Conference Championship and Region 16 Championship during his freshman year in 2008. After finishing his academic and athletic career at East Central College, Nickardo transferred to the University of Connecticut where he was a two year starter as a defender for the Huskies. While playing for the Huskies along with fellow ECC teammate Lionel Brown, UConn was ranked #1 in NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer for the majority of the 2011 season. Nickardo will get a chance to prove himself at the professional level this coming spring as he starts training camp for Toronto FC. An exciting future at the professional level waits for the native Jamaican who graduated from Boyd Anderson High School in South Florida. Nickardo was a Florida All-State performer in football, soccer and track during his scholastic career.
