Originally drafted by the New York Yankees in 2001, Omir Santos has traveled to numerous minor league clubs for the Yankees, Orioles and Mets. Omir Santos made his major league debut for the Baltimore Orioles in September 2008. He also appeared for Puerto Rico in the 2005 World Baseball Classic. Omir had a career highlight in spring training for the Mets against the St. Louis Cardinals when he hit two home runs against Cardinals pitcher, Kyle Lohse.
