Student Athlete Spotlight

East Central College sophomore volleyball player, Maddie Kelly, is ranked #5 in the NJCAA with 6.62 digs per set. Serving as libero for her second season for the Falcons, Maddie is on pace to shatter the school record for digs in a career. She recorded 870 digs during her freshman year in 2010 as the Falcons finished 11th in the NJCAA National Tournament. Maddie was also named to the All-Tournament team early in the 2011 season at the Johnson County Invitational Tournament.

Jamie Skillen has been finding the net for the Falcons as they look to regain their form for the remainder of the men’s soccer season. A freshman from the Isle of Man, United Kingdom, Jamie is looking to make his mark in the East Central College record books as well. A first game of the season victory had Jamie collecting a goal and two assists against St. Charles in 3-1 result. Early in the season, he has three goals and six assists to lead the team in points.
